I know everyone says it--but our kids really are growing up SO fast! They are both learning and doing new things every day. Here are a few updates:
Ivy is finally, FINALLY--at 16 months old--walking! She has been able to take a step or two once in awhile for the past couple of months, but just the other night, she started walking all over! We had our friends Jason and Laken over for supper, and while we were all talking and she was playing on the floor after supper, she just decided that she wanted to walk. She stood up, and took about 12 steps before falling. Then she kept doing that for the whole evening! We are so proud of her. And thanks, Jason and Laken--you must have inspired her :) This video is from that evening:
Israel has recently found his voice--big time. Up until a few weeks ago, he was such a quiet baby! His cry was even pretty quiet! But now he must be trying to compete with his sister or something, because he is loud all the time. He laughs, growls, yells, screams, and babbles. It is adorable :) This video shows some of his new sounds:
I know I've said this before, but I am so amazed and thankful that Ivy and Israel get along SO well. They entertain each other all day long. They are so excited to see each other every morning. The next video shows just a sample of what most of their day is like. They love playing with each other:
And finally, when Ivy isn't playing with Israel, he is still content as long as he can watch her do whatever she's doing:

They are so adorable. And CLEARLY loved, adjusted, and happy! Israel looks like he's working on crawling, too. :)
Ivy - good job - walking like a champ! Israel - I laugh, growl, yell, scream and babble, too! Truly a McCormick. What blessings.
