Ivy met Asa when we started our NTBI training with Asa's parents,
Stephen and Rachel, three years ago.
They were only nine months old when they met.
We thought it was cool that they were born only three days apart.
Their personalities are completely opposite of each other...but that didn't stop them from becoming friends. Aaron and I often laugh with Stephen and Rachel about just how different Ivy and Asa have always been from each other.
I remember this night--at NTBI's Christmas party when Asa and Ivy had just turned two--when I first thought, "Aww...they are really friends! Not just forced acquaintances because they live down the hall from each other." :)
Well now for the first time in three years, Ivy and Asa will be parting ways. Asa's parents are graduating from the training this week, and they will be moving away.
I'm so thankful for the friendship Ivy has with Asa, and even though I am sad about them leaving, I am so excited for Ivy and Asa to keep in touch for years to come. And who knows, maybe they will end up at NTBI together in about 15 years. :)
And I can't leave out Asa's little sister, Naomi. She and Abel are only two months apart, so they have been together since birth. Abel talks about her a lot. He calls her "Mimi." I'm excited for their friendship to continue as well! They are such an adorable and smiley little duo. :)
We love you guys, Stephen and Rachel! We will miss you all, and we look forward to keeping in touch with you for years to come. :)
