A Week in Marco

Last week, my parents took us on an incredibly fun vacation to Marco Island, Florida, with my family. My dad and mom are seriously the most amazing, generous, thoughtful, selfless people I know. We had a wonderful time being with them and Nathan and Rachel and their four kids.

Ivy had so much fun! She…

loved being on a plane for the first time,

 

hung out with her cousins after midnight at the Tampa airport,

absolutely loved the pool,

also loved the beach,

got all dressed up to go out to eat,

had a ton of fun with her cousins,

got a whole lot of attention from her grandparents,

took baths in the sink,

spent a day with her awesome birthmom and birthdad,

and made lots of faces.

Meanwhile, Aaron and I…

played with our adorable nieces and nephew,

ate rack after rack of delicious ribs,

caught dozens of crabs to fish with (well, Nathan and Aaron did),

did a LOT of fishing (well, Aaron, Nathan, and my dad did),

grilled the fish the guys caught for supper one night,

saw manatees,

and a snake,

ate about 8 packages of cookies with Rachel and Nathan (my mom and dad were surprised to find out that we stayed up and ate junk food every night after they took Kaine and Halle to their condo to sleep :)),

had fun spending some time with just the three of us,

and loved spending time with our whole family!!

Thanks again, Mom and Dad! The trip was SUCH a blessing.
