Dalton Fans

This week was Spirit Week at NTBI, leading up to Tribal Cup this weekend at our sister school in Waukesha, WI. Each day had a different theme, and the students were all supposed to dress up.

We were pretty busy this week, so we didn't take the time to dress up the first four days. However...today's theme was "Fanboy Friday." Basically, each student was supposed to dress in a way that showed what he/she is a fan of. It could be a sports team, a super-hero, a hobby...anything that you could be a fan of.

Our friend Josh had the idea for all of the married students to dress up to show that we are fans of Dalton! Dalton is the Dean of Married Students here at NTBI, and he is just such an awesome guy. He speaks truth to us, he takes the time to develop a relationship with each couple, he is super encouraging and challenging, and he has an awesome family (Remember Sue from this post, this post, and this post? Yeah, she's his awesome wife.)!

So in order to show our "fanship" of Dalton, Josh printed off copies of a picture of Dalton "back in the day" that Aaron found on facebook. And then we all wore his picture proudly.

(Dalton is right in the middle of the group.)

We made our kids wear one...

and we even pinned one on Liam, a 16-year-old from our church who is staying with us for the weekend (who had never even met Dalton until today...ha:))!

Not positive what Dalton thought of his strange fan club...hopefully he was encouraged though, and not just embarrassed!

...because we really do appreciate Dalton and the ministry he has with us "married folk" here at the school!

I would have to say we are Dalton fans too:) On the very first day we stepped foot into NTBI about a year and a half ago, he was the one who was there to help us out in so many ways. He was even supposed to leave that day on a retreat or something but postponed leaving to help us out:)thanks Dalton:)
