Spring Break

It feels strange to still be having a spring break, since, you know, we are 28 years old. But just like other schools and colleges, NTBI has a spring break, so we headed home to Indiana for eight days. It was a crazy-busy whirlwind, but we got to reconnect with lots of people, get some work done, and spend tons of time with family. Here are some highlights from our week:

Ivy, Israel, my mom, and I colored Easter eggs,

we had an Easter egg hunt outside (it was a little bit chilly!) that Ivy LOVED,

but Israel prefered to walk around with a ball and a gun,

and Abel just hung out with me to keep warm.

We also had a great time with our families at Easter,

(Amy and Brent with Ivy and Layla...and don't mind the gun...just Aaron being Aaron...)

and the kids received LOTS of Easter candy and goodies.

(I love how it looks like Israel is sneaking something in this picture!)

The kids did a LOT of swinging during the week,

and Israel got to ride a tractor with Grandpa Jim for the first time!

 We visited friends,

(Ivy, Amelia, and Jonah)

(Ivy and Amelia...a lot of people say they look alike!)

(Ivy, Kyla, and Blake)

and I was SO EXCITED when my good friend Amy had her baby just a little bit early, when I was in town! :) Isn't Evelyn SO precious?

We attended a birthday party for two of our sweet nieces,

and played in a HUGE cardboard "city" at their party.

Overall, the kids and I did lots of playing over our break.

Aaron? Well...he did a lot of working. This was him at midnight one night, fixing a pump on a power washer (or something).

We so appreciate him and all the hard work he does for us so that I CAN spend so much time with our kiddos! (And don't worry...he got to do some fun stuff on break, too ;))

Now we're back at NTBI and very excited for the last six weeks of our training here! It was a good spring break, but it's always nice to be home (wherever home may be for us right now).

We had a great time as well. It's amazing how quick the kids are growing up . The more they grow up, the more fun they are.
