Ivy's Words

Ivy has started saying a ton of "unprompted" words. She will repeat anything we say, but there are a few dozen words that she just says on her own. We tried to make a list of them and then have her say them for the camera. I wanted to do this before she begins saying some of the words "correctly," because her pronunciation of some of them are SO cute right now!

My favorites:

She says "Ee-ol" for Israel
She says "buga-buga-buga-buga" for bottle
She says "Go?" for "Where'd it go?"
She just makes a clicking sound with her tongue for "drink"
She just makes an "h" sound for Halle
She won't repeat the word "brother"...instead, she just says Israel's name :)
She makes some kind of a weird gargling noise for "water"

After we made the video, I thought of some more words that she says unprompted that I didn't have her say for the camera: banana, cheese, eyes, nose, bellybutton, book, toy, play, swing, doggy, shoes, socks, coat, hat, bumbo, bib, bed, and good girl. I'm guessing that in a month or so, there will be no way to keep track of her words anymore! Her vocabulary is growing very rapidly, and it's so much fun to watch!
