When I found out I was pregnant back in September, May 26 sounded like SO far in the future. Like it would never get here. Like we had all the time in the world to get ready for this baby. To work with our other two kids on eating and sleeping and discipline. To get mentally prepared to suddenly be outnumbered by our children. To read all about labor and delivery and breastfeeding.
But the time has absolutely flown by. And now we are (approximately) six weeks away from meeting our newest child.
I would say that I'm 90% excited and 10% apprehensive. And sometimes if I lay in bed at night and think about actually have three babies 18 months and younger, it may switch to about 80% excited and 20% apprehensive :)
But really, we are so thankful and blessed and excited to meet our little boy!
Here's what my pregnancy has been like as of late...
Things that are getting very difficult to do:
-put socks on
-put shoes on (luckily, I can wear flip flops just about all the time now) :)
-roll out of bed in the morning
-change after a shower in the little 2 ft. by 3 ft. changing space in my "communal" bathroom
-do the dishes (I can't get close enough to the counter!)
-carry Ivy for a long time (Israel is still pretty doable)
-sit on the floor for a long period of time
-paint my toenails
Foods I've been really loving recently (I won't say "craving," because it's nothing like it was during the first trimester):
-cheese
-grapes
-jalapeno peppers
-candy
-ice water
Things that are still undecided:
-the baby's middle name
-how soon two or three of our kids will share a room
-whether or not I'm getting an epidural (ok, so I'm 99% sure about that one...) :)
Things I am SO thankful for:
-The baby has been measuring "right on" at every appointment.
-I feel him move all the time...night and day. Usually all I have to do is push on a part of my stomach and he will push back. :)
-I have been sleeping better during the third trimester than I did during the second!
-I passed my second blood test for gestational diabetes after I failed the first one.
-I have a doctor that I really love!
-We live next door to the hospital.
-We have lots of family members and friends who I know will help me this summer!
-We have a house to live in this summer (thanks to Klint and Sarah!!).
And...some pictures from the past few weeks:

Having a baby is definitely a wild ride, but it really won't hit you as to how much of a miracle it really is until you are in the delivery room.
