So for the first 26 years of my life, I never had a surprise party. This was totally fine with me, as I always said I would HATE surprise parties. Then, I turn 27 and all of the sudden people are surprising me right and left :) First, my friends had a surprise birthday party for me earlier in the summer. Then yesterday, I was just sitting down to lunch with Aaron and Ivy in our apartment, and someone knocked on our apartment door. I got up to get it, and five of my friends from Bluffton were standing there!
I was, again, very shocked. They came to see where we live,
take me out to lunch,
see Israel and bring him gifts,
and just catch up!
It was so unexpected and encouraging and fun. Jane, thank you SO MUCH for planning it. I am so blessed to have all of you as friends! And just like I said last time, surprises aren't quite as bad as I thought they would be :)

I can't believe we deprived you of all of the surprise parties you could have had growing up. I guess your friends are making up for it. I'm realy glad for their support also.
