My best friend growing up was Leah...we became friends about 23 years ago (or so our moms say) and we're still friends to this day! This weekend, Leah got married to an awesome guy named Ross, and I was honored to be in their wedding. It was a fun weekend and a blessing to be a part of their big day!
The weekend started on Friday night, when we had a bachelorette party/shower for Leah.
She wore this shirt (isn't she adorable??)
and we went to Flat Top Grill for supper. Then we headed back to one of the other bridesmaids, Katy's, house for dessert
and presents.
Then Leah had to do all kinds of semi-embarrassing tasks, trying to beat Ross's "time" on each one. Katy videotaped Ross doing all of the same tasks last week, and we were able to watch him do each one on tape after Leah did each one. Overall, I think Leah won :)
It was hilarious to watch, and Leah was the best sport :)
Saturday night we went to the rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.
Ross and Leah had made a video of themselves talking to each of the people in the bridal party--saying what we each mean to them, why they chose us to be in their wedding, etc. It was such a neat thing for them to do! We then all passed a microphone around and told stories and memories of Ross and Leah. It was definitely the best rehearsal dinner I've been to (yes, including my own! Aaron agreed :)).
Sunday morning I went to Amber's house in the morning to get ready for the big day.
Amber's sister in law Christen came over to do our hair for us and she did such a great job! We really appreciated it!
Amber and I took some pictures together before we headed to the Rosewood on Main for the bridal party pictures. We felt like we were going to prom or something when we took this picture out on her deck :)
The whole wedding day went so fast! We did pictures at the Rosewood (awesome location!),
had a bridesmaids' brunch, did some last minute primping,
had the wedding at 12:30 (Leah's dad Mark did an AWESOME job. Definitely my favorite wedding service!!), and then headed to the reception. It was fun to walk around and talk to everyone at the reception.
And before we knew it, it was time for them to leave.
It was not just a fun weekend, but definitely a God-glorifying one. I loved how Ross and Leah kept pointing to God with each different event throughout the entire weekend.
Congratulations, Ross and Leah! I was honored to be a part of your wedding day :)
