Sick, Snow, Soup

My posts have been few and far between lately, and that is mostly due to our entire family being sick over the past week and a half. I don't remember ever having influenza before...man, it's pretty rough. However, we are all doing much better now and are extremely thankful for the great health we regularly experience!

So it had been almost two weeks since all five of us had been able to leave our apartment together. That's a long time to be in one place! But finally, last night, we were able to go to a "soup social" with the other married students and their families here at the BI (Bible Institute).

It was the perfect night for soup, because the snow was coming down like crazy outside.

We had some delicious homemade bread (thanks to Katie and Lindsi), and twelve different kinds of soup! Aaron and some of the other guys made it their ambition to try every soup. I'm pretty sure they succeeded.

There were so many delicious ones, but my favorite was Hae Jung's Korean rice cake soup. It was SO amazing. I think I must be partial to authentic Asian food, because I always love everything Hae Jung and Enoch make!

A great night was had by all, and we are very thankful to be out and about in the world again!
