Here are some funny things she has said lately...
Ivy: Mama, do you have a big mouth?
Me: Do you think I have a big mouth?
Ivy: Yes.
Me: Why do you think that?
Ivy: Because you're a big girl. Big girls have big mouths.
Ivy: Israel's birthday is in the oven! Mama! Israel's birthday is in the oven, and it's very hot. Hey Israel! Your birthday is in the oven! (pretty sure she meant a birthday cake)
Ivy (randomly, to me): Israel is a duck.
Me: No, Israel is a boy.
Ivy: No...he's a duck.
Ivy (very distressed): Mama!!! Israel just washed my eye!! (Not sure what he actually did...)
Ivy: Mama! Israel is eating a sweater. (Who knows, that may have been true...)
Ivy: Look! Chickens!
Me: No, Ivy, those are just birds in that tree.
Ivy: No....those are just chickens in that tree.
Me: Ivy, you are cute-to-boot.
Ivy: No I'm not! I'm cute-to-bat!
Me: Hey Ivers! (What I call her sometimes)
Ivy: Did you say "neighbors"?
Me: No, I said "Ivers".
Ivy: Oh. Neighbors are people.
Me: Yes. Yes they are.
Ivy: Israel, I'm going to mow you.
Ivy: Mama, are you brushing my comb?
Me: No, I'm brushing your hair.
Ivy: (with an embarrassed laugh) Oh yeah.
