With all of the downsizing we have been doing with our several moves in the past several years, we finally consolidated all of our Christmas "stuff" into this one little box and our little three-foot tree.
However...the amount of Christmas decor we own determines nothing about how we feel about Christmas! We (and I'm speaking for myself and my kids here) are definitely SO EXCITED about Christmas (Aaron will be...just not until mid-December or so) ;)
The kids and I had so much fun decorating our little tree earlier this week.
I did have to do quite a bit of rearranging of the ornaments after the kids put them on, though. Ha!
So excited for Christmas lights, family get-togethers, Christmas music, appetizers, Home Alone, Elf, hot drinks, Christmas shopping, SNOW, Christmas cookies, baking, exchanging gifts, and most of all getting to reflect more than usual on our Messiah coming as a little baby to save us.
Can't wait for the next six weeks!! :)

Yay! I share all of your feelings, sis. I am super excited for Christmas! But not for snow. Dad, I think I am becoming more and more like you :)

Glad you are coming around Rachel. Jill, someday you may come around as well. I guess I'm with Aaron (with out the coffee).

We love Home Alone and Elf too!
I'm suddenly in Christmas mode. =] I LOVE how your sweet kids decorated the tree! And we have the same fav. Christmas movies! I am always quoting Home Alone =]
The size of your tree is perfect! My husband always gets so tired of putting all the color coordinated branches in their slots. And then I have to fluff them! And the picture of your finished tree! Ha! So cute. I laughed too when you mentioned the movie Elf. I just reserved it from the library to kick off the holiday season! I'll think of you when I watch it. (For the first time even. Dare I say I've never seen it? =)
You will love it, Amber! :)
You doing a great job with the pics. Love your tree!

Jill, I read this quote from Amy Carmichael(after she'd heard how many die without ever hearing Jesus' name)and thought of you:
'Does it not stir up our hearts to go forth and help them, does it not make us long to leave our luxury, our exceeding abundant light, and go to them that sit in darkness?'
Love how they decorated the tree :) What fun!
Love your tree and the way you let them decorate it. Such a good mother. I can't believe how much they have grown. So excited to see you at Thanksgiving. Love Gram.
