So I thought I didn't like venison...
but it turns out I do.
That is, I like it when it is marinaded for over 24 hours,
wrapped in BACON and cooked over a flaming charcoal grill.
It was SO good.
Glad we found a way that I like it...since our freezer is so packed full of it, that we literally can't fit any other food in it until we start making a dent in the venison! :)
(Anyone have other venison recipes they want to share with us?)

that is my favorite way to eat it, too.
our sil grinds some of his venison and they sub the "deerburger" for ground beef in Italian and Mexican recipes (or anything having quite a bit of seasoning).
My dad would always cook up the heart and liver. Yum! I've tried everything from pheasant to ground hog (which was definitely not tasty)!
I have been telling you it is good. Like Teresa said, it's great when it's ground up and used in chile, cavatini, etc. It's also alot healthier than beef.

We use it in tacos, meatloaf, spag suace...pretty much as our stable for beef product, even though it is venison. Have you tried making meatballs with it yet. They are usually really good too
Try this - bring it all to Indiana this week ( don't forget the bacon ).
I have heard that some people can it - that would help free up your freezer space...
