Ivy meets Israel

When Aaron and I were on the plane on our way to Utah last week, there was an advertisement on the back of one of the airline magazines that said this:

Of course, we thought it was really neat, since we were on our way to meet our son Israel...and the brochure was right, we are not the same. We are now so in love with our son!

This little gal, however,

had no idea that her life was about to be "invaded" with a brother as we flew to Salt Lake City. And for the first 7 days we were there, since she wasn't allowed in the NICU to see him, I'm sure she thought we were just on a vacation, where she got to play and swim with Grandma all day!

But the time finally came when we brought Israel home.

Ivy was definitely interested in him...fascinated even. In fact, she immediately wanted to touch his face and eyelashes, just like she does to her dolls.

And ever since then, Ivy has been watching him,

hugging him,

hanging out with him,

staring at him,

patting him,

licking him,

and kissing him.

This little guy will have to learn to be tough, I'm afraid, with all of the rough love Ivy is showing him.

And we are already praying that these two sort-of twins will end up being best friends someday :)
