The week leading up to our move was super busy. We were blessed to have a farewell breakfast with our awesome Sunday school class the Sunday before we moved, and during the week we had tons of visits, phone calls, notes, gifts, and goodbyes from friends and family.
Some of our friends even offered to cook us suppers as we prepared to move (thanks so much Aimee, Bobbie, and Adrianne!)
The day before we moved, two guys from our Sunday school class helped Aaron move all of our stuff into the garage (thank you, Jeff and Kurt!),
and then in the evening Kent, Zack, and Ryan helped move everything into the truck.
Ivy and I just watched...
and the guys did all the work. Thanks, guys!
Saturday morning, we drove the truck up to Nathan and Rachel's house, loaded the box truck to the brim with their stuff, and loaded a trailer behind Nathan's dad's truck.
We were ready to head to our new home!
I rode in the box truck
with Aaron,
and Ivy rode with her cousins in Nathan and Rachel's van.
We made a stop at Wendy's just down the road from NTBI for lunch before heading to the school. It was the most unique fast food restaurant I've ever seen.
The ceilings are incredibly high, and it looks more like a train station than a restaurant from the outside. Weird.
We then headed to NTBI, where we could move into extremely clean apartments, because of these two amazing people:
My mom and dad are the most amazing parents. They actually came up to NTBI the day before us, cleaned both our apartment and Nathan and Rachel's from top to bottom, stocked our fridges and pantries,
and then spent the night in a furniture-less apartment to help us move in the next day. They are the greatest!
So we began the long process of unloading stuff and carrying it all up three flights of stairs to our apartments. We spent most of the rest of the weekend organizing,
putting stuff together,
and taking stuff apart to fit it through our apartment door.
We are now feeling somewhat settled. Everyone here is SO INCREDIBLY friendly. It is going to be very neat to live in community with other very like-minded people.
I'll post some pictures of our apartment as soon as I get everything a little more set up and organized. It's been challenging to move from a 2100 sq. ft. home to a 440 sq. ft. apartment :) But a good challenge, for sure.
Thank you again to everyone who helped us! We never could've done it with out you.

I'm also thankfull everything went so well. Nothing was broken(as far as I know), the rain held off, and it is a neat place. Everyone was incredibly nice as well. I'm know everyone there will benefit from you being there as well.

just want to go on record that although you are on the 3rd floor, there are 4 flights of stairs:) but who's counting?? :)
mom:)
Hmmm, you're right, Mom. There are four flights of stairs. And pretty long ones. My calves hurt every time I come up to our apartment :) I'm out of shape!
That Wendy's really is an old train station I'm pretty sure. It's our favorite Wendy's.
