Update in Numbers (#4)

(less than) 0- The percentile that Israel is in for both weight and height. I love how little and compact he is. :)

1- The number of shoes that Israel tried for a LONG time to get off of his foot a few days ago. Since he is getting closer to walking, I thought it would be a good idea to get him used to shoes. He HATES them, and he does everything possible to get them off!

2-The number of Aaron's siblings that we saw at the 4-H Fair and sat down with for awhile. It's been so great getting to see more of them this summer!! (and Brandon was there, too...he was playing with Addi on the playground when I took this.)

30- The age my sister turned last weekend! How did that happen??? That means I'll be 30 in just two years. We had fun celebrating her birthday and mine at my parents' house last weekend!

4- The number of different methods we are considering to try to get Ivy to stop sucking her thumb. Her doctor said that it is already beginning to affect her teeth quite a bit. (Any advice out there on getting a 1 1/2 year old to stop sucking his/her thumb?)

5-The number of weeks old Abel was when he smiled for the first time. Now he smiles all the time!

6- The number of books I have read so far this summer while nursing Abel. Even though I am more busy than ever overall, having all of that time to nurse Abel gives me lots of reading time that I didn't have before! I love it. I'll try to do a post at the end of the summer about all of the books I read this summer.

7- The number of kids we have to keep track of now when we go anywhere with Nathan and Rachel's family--like the other night when we ate with them at McDonald's before going to visit an elderly missionary couple who spent 52 years in Thailand!

8- The number of hours Abel and I spent in Michigan one day last week for some appointments and errands. It is such a break only having one child for a day! I loved spending the day with just him! (But of course I was very glad to see my other two when I got home.) :)

90- The percentile Abel is in for height! I have a feeling he is going to catch up to Israel's size very quickly. In fact, just the other day, they were both wearing 3-6 month outfits! :)

10- The approximate number of minutes Israel can keep Ivy laughing by making faces like this through his pack 'n play. He does this almost daily, and it is so funny! Ivy laughs so hard, and so do I!

Have a great weekend, everyone!

One thing for sure, you will not have a boring life with those kids. It will be interesting to see what abel will be like once he get out of the "baby" stage.

You need to add "Don't make me Count to Three" by Ginger Plowman to your summer reading list. And "Teach Them Diligently"... and the list goes on... I have more parenting type books that I have loved!
