Funny Things She's Said Lately (2)

This adorable three-year-old makes us laugh...a lot.

Here are just a few things she has said the past few days:

Me: Ivy, do you remember why we are going to the jungle?
Ivy: To tell people about Jesus...and so I can have my own room.

Ivy: Israel was so good today in class! He actually obeyed!

Me (pointing to something light pink in a picture): Ivy, can you tell Abel what color this is?
Ivy: Dark pink. (laughing hysterically) I'm just joking, Abel! It's light pink!!

Ivy: Abel is a cutie, but he falls down a lot.

Ivy (as she is putting flip flops on): If I wear tennis shoes, then snakes won't bite me, but if I wear flip flops, they will bite me. Oh well.

Ivy: I heard Abel crying in his classroom today.
Me: You did? Did that make you sad to hear him crying?
Ivy: No...he probably just fell again. No biggie.

Ivy: Now, brothers, we are having a sleeper party. So lay down and don't get up until I tell you to...No, Abel, lay down. You can't sit up at a sleeper party. NO! LAY DOWN, BROTHERS! THIS IS A FUN SLEEPER PARTY!!!"

Ivy (as August is crying): Uh, Mom, are you going to do something about that?

Ivy: Mom, I’m going to pretend to go to Bible Study. Do you know what I need to bring?
Me: What do you think you should bring?
Ivy: Um…a hotdog…and a sandwich.

Ivy (talking to Israel and Abel): Now you know that God made everything. Can you name some of the things that He made?
Israel and Abel: (no response)
Ivy: Ok, I will name some for you. People, trees, slides, snacks, swings, carrots, hot dogs, and chickens.

Ivy (in a very sweet and polite voice): Uh, Mommy? Could you please do a better job of watching the brothers so they stop getting my stuff?
